If the parties to be tested live in different cities, we can split the kit for you and send the kit components to different addresses. Since they are individually barcode labelled, the samples will still be tested together once they arrive at the laboratory. To order a split kit, simply enter the following information in the comments box of the order form when you check out:
“Please split this kit. Send the alleged mother’s portion of the kit to (Alleged mother’s name and shipping address), and send the child’s portion of the kit to (Child’s name and shipping address).”
An extra shipping fee of $10 will be automatically applied for each additional address within the US. Split kits will be shipped out using USPS First Class Package Service.
The DNA Maternity test is performed by testing the alleged mother and the child.
If the alleged mother is not available for testing, testing another relative can be considered. Other test types include the DNA Grandparent test, DNA sibling test, or DNA Aunt/Uncle test. Please note that the DNA Parentage test is always the most powerful test, so if the alleged mother is available for testing, the DNA Maternity test should be considered over the other test types.
